OM MANI PADME HUNG HRIH
This prayer carries the blessings of Avalokiteshvara, who transmitted it to Chöjé Kah-ngapa and told him to give it to Gelong Tsöndrü Zangpo (i.e. Thangtong Gyalpo). If the latter promulgated it to the people of this world, he said, it would dispel all sickness, evil and obstacles in the immediate, as well as bestowing protection from the lower realms. May virtue ensue!
