Requests for prayers
Please read the following before filling out the form below.
The healing plant of Menla,
the Medicine Buddha
It has been traditional since the Buddha’s time to ask the Sangha to perform prayers, rituals and ceremonies to help the sick and the dying, and to dispel obstacles while working for sentient beings. Along with such requests, it is important to make a financial offering to the Sangha in order to create a connection. The usual amount offered corresponds to the living expenses of those participating in the ritual for its duration.
We have created a form that will facilitate the communication of your requests to our teachers. Kindly fill out the request form below and include any pertinent details.
If you need advice regarding the kind of prayers that would be most beneficial for a particular person or condition, please indicate this in the specific requests section.
If you have already received guidance and would like to request a particular practice or ceremony to be performed, please refer to the table below to find out the standard donation offered to the nuns and monks in Nepal or India. You may also email prayers@songtsen.org for more information.
All requests and the totality of your contributions will be passed on to our main teachers, in particular to Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche. Please note that it is important to indicate “Request for prayers” in the 'designation' field and to enter any relevant details in the 'dedication' field (i.e., name of the person the prayers are to be done for) so that we can forward the donation accordingly.
Yantras
Friends often request Chanteloube for yantra images to place on the body of the deceased prior to burial or cremation. Kangyur Rinpoche's yantra terma and instructions can be downloaded here
(right click to save the PDF file and select 'Save Link / Target As').
Please note: On account of the sacred images that the yantra contains, any printings of this image should be treated with respect. If they must be disposed of (e.g. in case of a faulty printout), please burn them rather than throwing them away. They should also be kept in a high place or on the upper part of the body. In general, to respect one's refuge vows one should never step on or over any writing nor leave it in a low place where others might walk over it or sit on it.
NOTE: PLEASE ADD 5 € TO THE TOTAL COST in order to cover bank transfer charges to Asia.

Saving lives
The lamas often “prescribe” the freeing of a certain number of lives in order to remove obstacles to life and health. You can easily do this yourself or ask a friend to do it for you. However, if it is impossible to do so, donations can also be offered to Songtsen for this purpose using our online donation form. Please remember to designate your donation to 'KRF animal rescue'.
