Songtsen's foundations: UK
Kangyur Rinpoche Foundation
The Kangyur Rinpoche Foundation UK was founded in 1980 in honour of one of the greatest Tibetan masters of the 20th century and to continue his vision and activities (see Kangyur Rinpoche’s biography). Since then it has been active in helping Tibetan refugee and other impoverished communities in India, Nepal and Bhutan establish the health, lodging and educational infrastructure necessary to their survival, and more recently in helping Tibetans in occupied Tibet. It has supported hundreds of orphans, students, elders, and monastic refugee communities to self-sufficiency. It has also helped rescue precious manuscripts and other sources of much needed Buddhist wisdom.
Every year, KRF UK donates over 150 000 € to its various projects.
Please see Songtsen's completed projects for a list of accomplishments, mainly funded by KRF since 1970.
