Songtsen’s ability to serve the community and to fulfil its main objectives depends on the generosity of individual sponsors and benefactors. The aim of Songtsen’s development projects is to help the Tibetan people secure the infrastructure and resources they need to achieve self-reliance. The assistance of the international community at large is essential to support such efforts.
Each contribution, no matter how small, is valuable and will be used solely to fund well-defined and feasible projects that comply with the highest humanitarian, ethical and environmental standards.
Individuals and organizations who feel concerned by the need to preserve Tibet’s extraordinary contribution to the world’s spiritual heritage are invited to join Songtsen in supporting one or several of its activities. All projects benefit from a high degree of security in the transfer and use of funds, made possible by a network of close relationships and reliable counterchecks established through years of experience. Administrative costs are kept to a minimum. For more than thirty years, Songtsen has maintained the highest financial integrity.
Donations can be made to Songtsen in general, in which case they will be attributed to the projects with highest current priority. Alternatively, you can specify any of the following Songtsen departments to receive your contribution using the designation field of the donation form:
- Padmakara: The preservation, translation, publication and distribution of Tibetan texts.
- Association du Centre d'Études de Chanteloube (ACEC): Making the Tibetan Buddhist tradition accessible in the West.
- Siddhartha: Support for Tibetan refugee children and impoverished Himalayan families.
- KRF Development: The preservation of Tibetan culture, as well as economic development for mainly Himalayan and Tibetan communities.
